The animals represent individual's previous evolution and instincts. The divine beings represent higher consciousness.
Each chakra has its own kshetram, located on the front surface of the body. And it is easier to concentrate on that kshetram for a preliminary practitioner. The kshetrams can be used as reflection of the original chakra trigger points. When we concentrate on the kshetram, it creates a sensation, which passes through the nerves to the chakras of spinal cord itself and then that impulse or sensation reaches to the brain through the nerves of the spinal cord.

On the physical level the chakras are associated with major nerve plexuses and endocrine glands in the body. Asanas are designed to work on chakas. If we concentrate on chakras while performing asana, then the benefit will be increased.
The chakras are divided into three classes.
Class-I-The lower two chakras(Mooladhar, Swadhistan) are full of Tamas. The individuals action will be disharmonious, negativities.
Class-II-Manipur and Anahat are the two middle chakras, mixture of positive and negative qualities. Here, the Rajasic quality guides the action and thoughts, which are the combination of dharma and adharma.
Class-III-Vishuddhi and Ajna, the two higher chakras are predominantly positive and Sattwic. One tends to follow dharma.
MOOLADHAR CHAKRA:-
The word Mooladhar consists of two words i.e., "Mool" which means "root" and "Adhara" means "place". Therefore it is known as root center. It is situated in the perineum(place in between Anus to genital organ). It is the lowest chakra in human being. Here, one is almost entirely self-centered and concerned with obtaining personal security, money, material objects, food, friends etc. The karmas of previous stages of evolution manifest in the form of anger, greed, jealousy, passion, love, hatred, sleep…etc.
It is symbolic to earth (prithvi) element(tattwa) and is closely related to the sense of smell.
*It is symbolized by deep red lotus with four petals
*In the center is a yellow square (the Yantra of Earth element(prithvi tattwa)
*Beeja Mantra "LAM"
*In the center of the square is a red triangle, the symbol of shakti or creative energy, with its apex pointing  downward.
*There is a smoky colored Swayambhu Linga, symbolizing the astral body inside the triangle.
*A serpent, representing the dormant Kundalini(The spiritual energy) is coiled three and half times around the   Lingam.
*The red triangle is supported by an elephant with seven trunks which symbolize the stability and solidity of   earth, the seven trunks represent to seven Dhatus(Minerals) i.e., Rasa, Rakta, Mamsh, Meda, Asthi, Majja,   Sukra.

For concentration on Mooladhar chakra, visualize the inverted triangle or the yellow square, symbols of energy and solidity, to enhance inner stability and balance.
SWADHISTAN CHAKRA
The Sanskrit word "swa" means "one's own" and adhisthana means "dwelling place" or "residence". Therefore it means "one's own abode" physically it is present at the base of the spine at the coccyx (tail bone).
Swadhistan has a very strong connection with the unconscious mind and its store house of samskaras(mental impressions ).
Swadhistan chakra emphasize on enjoyment of the pleasurable sensation associated with material objects. In Swadhistan, Samskaras will manifest themselves in the form of overwhelming craving for food, sex, stimulants etc..
Swadhistan is symbolic of the apas(water) tattwa and is closely related with the sense of taste and associated with seeking pleasure through, the tongue and genital organs.
It corresponds to the reproductive and urinary systems in the gross body and is physiologically related to the prostatic or uro-vaginal plexus of nerves.
The beeja mantra "VAM".
The crescent moon is the yantra and beeja mantra are riding on a crocodile, symbolizing the subterranean movement of the karmas.
Visualization of the center will be helpful to manage the problem of reproductive and execratory problem. For concentration on this center, visualize a vast and deep ocean with dark waves beneath a night sky. The tides of the ocean represent the ebb and flow of awareness.
